What's your favourite scene from the "Settle Down" scripts, and why?
For me, any scene involving Mason and Jarod stands out. In the first episode, when Mason suspects Jarod of cheating and confronts him, I found it hilariously written. Another favorite is when Jarod and Mason work out their issues in therapy. The show's focus on Mason connecting singles while navigating his own relationship challenges adds depth and humor to his character.
How would you describe "Settle Down" to a friend in one sentence?
"Settle Down" is a melting pot of 30% comedy, 30% drama, 30% insight, 10% plot twist, and 100% gay.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not acting?
Outside of acting, my favourite activity is to quote The Weeknd: "all I wanna do is make that money and make dope shit." Specifically, it's about finding inspiration through creative outlets, currently collaborating on short-form video content and exploring film photography.
Do you have any rituals or habits to get into character before a scene?
Reflecting on my experiences on set, my ritual before a scene is taking a nap. It ensures I'm well-rested and focused on delivering a performance rather than worrying about my lines.
Do you see any of yourself in the character you play on the show?
Wade Gomez and I share a strong sense of self-awareness and authenticity. He's grounded and collected, having done the inner work to understand himself and integrate it into his artistry. I relate to this journey of self-discovery and authenticity through personal growth and learning from failures.
